find your tribe

Find Your Tribe. You know, the ones that make you feel the most YOU. The ones that lift you up and help you remember who you really are. The ones that remind you that a blip in the road is just that, a blip, and not to mistake it for an earthquake and even it were to be an earthquake, they’d be there with the Earthquake Emergency Supply Kit. They are the ones that, when you walk out of a room, they make you feel like a better person than when you walked in. They are the ones that, even if you don’t see them face to face as often as you’d like, you see them heart to heart. You know, that kind of tribe? - Jennifer Pastiloff Source

We took a quick, lovely 5-6 mile hike on San Bruno Mountain. I had never been here although I have driven past the "South San Francisco" sign on the side of this mountain millions of times on my to and from the airport. It was spectacular! The day was clear and warm in the sun.

There were 360 degree views from many vantage points along the trail - from the tip of Point Reyes all of the way out to Mt. Diablo. The first part of the hike was a slow steady climb up. Once we reached the top, it was a slow downhill with a few great vista view spots to stop and take in the view laid out before us - rows and rows of houses nestled next to one another.

This is a do-over hike for sure! We'll come back in the training season and do the loop on the other side of the mountain ridge too for a 10 mile day.
